yogi tea

Yogi Tea was given by Yogi Bhajan for it's immense healing abilities.  My favorite reason for drinking this delicious tea is because it is so effective at strengthening the nervous system and can literally heal frayed nerves.  It is also excellent for the bones, a blood purifier, digestive aid and helps to prevent cold and flu.

ingredients--
1 Gallon Water
30 cloves
30 whole green cardamon pods
30 whole black peppercorns
1 lg finger of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
5 sticks cinnamon
1 teabag, Black Tea
*Milk and Honey to taste (*optional--best added cup by cup)

Bring the water to a boil.  Add all of the spices except the black tea bag.  Boil for 30 to 45 minutes, the longer the stronger.  Add the black tea bag and boil 5 additional minutes.  This amalgamates the spices and the tannins in the tea bag help assimilate the spices as you drink.  Cool and strain the tea in a glass jar.  Reheat individual portions and add your choice of milk and sweetener to taste.
