Spiritual Courage

Venus day blessings dear One,

We welcome the zenith of the Sun with Midsummer in the Northern Hemisphere, and in turn, the return of the dark. Our sisters and brothers in the Southern Hemisphere welcome the return of the light with Winter Solstice. The solstices are times of great polarity offering a potential for attunement.

With Midsummer, the Sun is at the height of its power. We welcome the duality of all things, as we reach the turning point of the solar year, where the cosmic wheel stops and starts again. The dark creates rich, potent soil for new growth. We welcome the longest day of the year, knowing that once more the days will shorten. The outer energy begins to wane and the inner energy begins to expand.

Yogi Bhajan emphasized the importance of spiritual practice during Solstice, 'The Summer Solstice is one day when the sun is at its ecstasy and the power of prana is the maximum so that you can be enriched with that vital primal force so that your destiny can be rewritten.'

2019's astrology is all about stripping away that which no longer serves, a continuous process of shedding, purification and rebirth. Today, Neptune who has been on a journey in Pisces since 2011, turns retrograde. Part of what makes 2019 so intense beyond the foundations being rocked with Saturn, the Karmic South Node and Pluto in Capricorn, are the squares between Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Sagittarius. These squares make it very challenging to ascertain what is real.

These are times for deep soul searching and questioning. And these are times of complete faith. Trust in the process is essential. This Solstice I am in the midst of deep study and ritual with one of my mentors. We were blessed on the eve of Midsummer with this double rainbow, which came like a sign from The Otherworld to keep the faith alive.

These times are all about spiritual courage. The word courage finds it root from the Latin word, cor which means heart. We must have the ability to speak our truth by sharing our heart's essence. The Daoists view the heart as the one organ in the human body that allows one to travel through time and space. In Dagara cosmology the heart is like the soft bone of the body. . .the bones being our mineral element that tell our story, our most ancient and primal self.

What has been will most likely no longer be. We are all stretching and growing to new heights. These times are excitingly beautiful and each moment asks us to embody spiritual courage. My prayer for you as you step through this gateway of initiation, is that you find your way within the beauty way, with spiritual courage. With renewed faith may you enact right action and trust the process. We need you now more than ever!

Midsummer blessings,

Ra Ma
