The medicine in your bones
The medicine in our bones is our ancestral heritage. As we are walking between worlds at this time, we are witnessing the end of an era, while a new is being birthed. It is only our intuition, our clarity of mind, and the medicine in our bones that may guide us. This medicine contains our rich ancestral stories, our visionary potential, and our curriculum.
The mineral kingdom is the record keeper of time and space. The stones carry an ancient wisdom that contemporary humanity is just beginning to remember, however we may look to the cultures that came before and how they used stones for marking astrological alignments, including how ancient temples were so carefully mapped out and crafted. As we awaken to the power of our bones, we awaken to our unique destinies.
Next Tuesday we open up a massive portal of potential with the Total Solar Eclipse in Cancer that is emphasizing karmic completion and the reclamation of destiny. During an eclipse, time can literally speed up, or timelines may dramatically switch. Eclipses bring Truth. Truth that we need to see, know and feel, despite how uncomfortable the results may be.
In last week's Venusian Love Notes I wrote about spiritual courage and the power of the heart to literally move us through time and space. The heart is also deeply connected to the mineral kingdom and our bones. 2019 is a time of great polarity that includes stripping and shedding, while also rebirth and renewal. This frequency calls for spiritual courage as it is a massive task to hold both polarities at once.
Honestly, I find myself moving from great trust to great resistance, and it takes an extra effort (thank goodness for a daily practice, resources and tools) to stay in the space of trust. In 2019 I have questioned every aspect of my life, my work and my practice. I have also asked why I chose to lead two pilgrimages abroad in such a potent cauldron of transformation.
I realize that in many ways travel and pilgrimage may seem frivolous in these times. What is required includes resources: time, money, strength and a departure from the familiar. However, when I dive into my the four chambers of my heart and my bones, I confidently know like a deep well that it is the power of these pilgrimages that is stirring up my own resistance. The doubt that surfaces not only gives an opportunity to clear old paradigms, old beliefs and old ways of being that the overculture programs humanity with, it also provides an opportunity to show the Otherworld commitment.
I believe we are all going through an immense rebirth this Eclipse season that encourages us to reflect on:
Where do we keep ourselves small and hidden?
Where do we shrink from rising to the occasion?
Where do we chose the old worn path, versus embodying our soul's calling?
And how may we flip this paradigm?
How may we be our most expansive and authentic selves in consensual reality?
How may we show up with our most present, and full being, even in the most challenging moments where a part of us wishes to collapse?
How may we be brave to choose the way forward that calls to us deep from within our bones, from the center of our heart, from our Truth?
Pilgrimage is multifaceted. It is a self knowledge journey that has the ability to refill your well, provide fresh insights into your life, clarity of destiny, while it is a meeting and a gathering of power from special spaces and places, including the Elements, the Land, and perhaps previous lifetimes.
